Sync Earthmate for Apple iOS with Explore portal

It is important to sync the Earthmate app before leaving Wi-Fi or cellular data coverage.  Doing so ensures that the following information is updated in the Earthmate App:

inReach SE and inReach Original:

  • Quick messages
  • Preset messages
  • Contacts
  • Message routing

inReach Explorer, SE+ and Explorer+:

  • Quick messages
  • Preset messages
  • Contacts
  • Message routing
  • Waypoints
  • Routes

Note: In order to sync the inReach SE or inReach Explorer with the Explore portal using the Earthmate application, your inReach device must be on firmware version 2.8 or greater and you must be using the latest version of Earthmate on your mobile device.

To Sync Account Info

  1. Launch the Earthmate app.
    Note:
     The Earthmate app is a free download from the Apple App Store.

  2. Tap on the More icon ⋯.

  3. Tap on Options.

  4. Tap on Account & Sync.

  5. Enter your username and password. This is the same username and password that is used to login to https://inreach.garmin.com. Tap on the Sync button when completed.

  6. The Earthmate app is now Synced to your account online. Make sure to repeat this process every time a change is made to the Contacts, Quick Text, Preset Messages, Waypoints, Routes, or Social settings in your account online.
