Exclamation Mark Appears on the Display

When the inReach SE or inReach Explorer begins to overheat while charging the device will display an "!" icon near the battery indicator. This is caused by several possible factors:

  • Leaving the inReach by a window on a sunny day
  • Leaving the device near a heating element
  • Leaving the device on a dashboard without the use of a mount
  • Resting the inReach on other warm electronics

To resolve this issue remove the inReach from the charger and let it sit in a room temperature area for a few minutes so it can cool down.
